The integrated native host executed the animated menu and live MW3 scenes through Vulkan. User and scripted sessions reached Training and Instant Action, while the separate Vulkan wrapper, launcher, and high-resolution texture work continued alongside recompilation.
Native game execution
- Executed startup, menu rendering and input, partial Training scenes, and the game HUD in the project-built native host.
- Observed walking in Training and scripted Instant Action targeting, enemy movement, weapon selection, firing, damage, and mission-failure behavior.
- Recorded user-played Instant Action sessions and a normal quit path through native shutdown.
- Investigated a transient save-state file-swap failure and made the failure and shutdown behavior more explicit.
These were real native execution observations. They did not establish whole-game fidelity, full campaign compatibility, or a portable release. The accepted startup checklist remained 131 of 144, and strict acceptance was paused separately.
Vulkan wrapper and launcher
The original-executable compatibility track had a working prepared local profile, with high-resolution 4:3 and corrected widescreen options, filtering controls, GUI/CLI launch, and local texture-bank switching. Broader compatibility and release preparation were still open.
Textures and model research
The local texture audit recorded 39 configured cumulative archives and 19 complete primary mech sets. Those were inventory and integration counts, not proof that every replacement looked correct in every mission.
Replacement-model research captured original Bushwacker pose and transform observations for offline visual adapters. That research still rendered original models in the observed native run; it was not itself a completed replacement-model renderer.
What came next
Performance, original/native behavior comparisons, intro playback, and the remaining Training and mission coverage needed further work. The following day's Remaster work built on this live native foundation.
